Expulsion - Chapter 11Chapter 11
Drew had hardly any idea which way to go as he left Crowhaven. Xeno had not bothered sharing the route directions with him before he left, so now he was riding through an blank, trackless desert, without any idea as to where he was going. He only knew where he was trying to get too. He wasn't panicking just yet, but he'd been riding for several hours without the slightest sight of any civilization. He stopped behind a large sand dune to get the wind out of his face.
"Alright Drew, you got yourself into this mess...you can get yourself out. Lets see... Xeno said Palmacosta was west of us...obviously." Drew pulled out a compass and held it up to his head lights. West was to his right....He'd be traveling south all day. He mentally cursed as he turned his course westerly. He got back up in the saddle, and continued to drive west. He was thankful that he had grabbed extra fuel cans from the first waypoint. He had no idea how far away this city was, or if he'd come to it by headi

Leaving Star Wall
This time the dream was different. This time the Black Queen had an army. And she had cornered the White King again. Behind her numerous Black Knights and Pawns stood, grimly watching, and waiting. Xeno could see them, they were undead, of various types. But mostly feratu. Thats when Xeno became aware of another peice on the field, The White Queen. A match for the Black Queen, but she was in the farthest corner, and the White King stood before her. Xeno realized then...The White King was defending his Queen, he would give his own life before hers. Xeno could not understand this odd game of strategy, where the King's only remaining comrade he was protecting, as if she were the King and he a Pawn. Then the Black Queen spoke.
"You are finished, Isiris! Surrender!" the Black Queen yelled.
Isiris? Who was this? Xeno wondered. Was this not Drew... Who was Isiris? But then the White Queen drew a sword and cried out.
"Don't falter! We will never surrender! We'll di
Expulsion - Chapter 9Chapter 9
Xeno stood in morning light, soaking up the sun's rays as it breached the horizon. He was once again breaking his code by letting the sun warm his bare chest. It was pleasure he reserved for himself when he could be sure of privacy. One thing was for certain, Aryna wasn't going to step into direct sunlight to sneak a peak. It felt good after every cold night in these mountains. Xeno sighed. It had been two weeks since the dream of the chess board. Aryna had assured him that Drew was alright, and Xeno knew he had no choice but to continue his training if he wanted to combat this threat. But he begged Aryna to speed up the process so that he could be on his way quickly. He had not dreamed of the chess board since that night. But he had dreamed of other things. The night previously... he had a puzzling dream.
This time he was running again, but not for fun. He was running for his life, or so it seemed. And he was carrying something...no, someone. He was carrying the

The White King and the Black Queen
There was no dawn in the Night City. Every waking hour was filled with darkness. Lazar Potemkin looked out on his small realm. Above him the eternal swirled and blew in a shroud of mystery, crisscrossed here and there as ships and aircraft wove in and out of the tall buildings. Below him he watched as a parade made its way farther down the city. The parade was not a cheering one, it was a parade of soldiers. Potemkin watched as they marched in lockstep. In the space of a week his lieutenant commander, Tyvana, had transformed all of rabble into a worthy army, and not just an army of soldiers. If Lazar were to capture and subjugate the remaining realms of the world, he needed weaponry of the same caliber. He watched as armored carriers followed the rear of the parade. And behind them, great armored battle-tanks. Lazar had factories to cover everything he needed to wage a full scale war. And when he reached the sea, and ha
Song Of the DyadWhat then are these
The tales of fantasy?
Who is their spell-caster
His name is Wishmaster
The souls of the damned
Are his to command
And he'll never let them free
Their only hope they were too blind to see
They cursed the Dyad's name
Crucified his beaten frame
He came only to save their souls
From the Wishmaster's deep dark hole
The Dyad, second in the Trinity
Son of God, his blood: true divinity
Died for the sins of the lost
Paid the Wishmaster's heavy cost
He set free the souls bound to Hades
And with the stabbing of the spear blade
Gave up his ghost and flesh
To the cry of "It is finished."
And the Dyad lives
The blood grace gift he still gives
To those souls
Who would flee the Wishmaster's hole
The Dyad has grace beyond decree
His mercy unfathomlessy deep
He rules with a golden rod
He is Jesus, Son of God.
ImmanuelA long year ahead, a short time behind.
What is it that makes serenity hard to find?
Beyond the curtain of false light
Lies the truth of war and strife.
A battered spirit, A shattered soul
A blood-strewn banner's uplifted goal.
May we sojourn to keep it flying
for its many followers its strength-buying
for us the days grow long
As the trials test the strong
But the goal remains the same
Do we uphold it for folly or fame?
Nay, neither of these,
For no man's pride is this
For a man alone cannot hold a flag alight
upon a flimsy staff, made of his might
For his might is little to the grievious masses
Who seek his fall by constant clashes
Of their steel and iron ringing foul
and their bloodthirsty heinous vows
of death and destruction to his feeble might
for his strength is small, reluctant to fight
Yet there is one who stands on high
And from his staff the Golden standard doth Fly
For His strength is perfect, impossible to asail
And the greivous Masses flee with dying wails
With their eyes
Expulsion - Chapter 7Chapter 7
Xeno Hit the dirt for the sixth time that night, having had his legs swept out from under him by Aryna. She stood looking down on him.
"Getting there, but you keep focusing on blocking each of my attacks as they come. You're thinking fast enough, but not smooth enough."
"What do you mean?" Xeno asked as he took her hand and she pulled him up.
"You mind is comprehending my moves fine. But It's not flowing. You mind keeps restarting and recalculating for every one of my attacks. You arn't thinking ahead far enough. When you move at these speeds, you have to predict that much farther into the future what my moves will be. As the fight gets thicker, so does the strategy. A maxim every warrior should know."
"So in other words I need to be predicting what you'll be doing five moves ahead of the current one?"
"Yes, Exactly." Aryna said.
Suddenly, faster than lightning her fist came flying up to connect with his chin. But in a flash his head backed out of th
Expulsion - Chapter 6Chapter 6
Xeno was up on the rock ledge as dusk overtook the day. He stepped into the spot Aryna had told him too the other night. Just to be sure. The crystals lit, and the same thing. Xeno stood in awe this time. The ghostly outlines of each building, each stucture, seem to glow softly themselves. The entire valley was lit in a soft glow, the shade of moonlight.
"Magnificent, isn't it?"
Xeno turned to see Aryna standing off to his side, also looking at the spectacle.
"Yes, yes it is." He said turning back to face it.
"I've never seen the city like this before. To see it now, it is both warming and saddening."
She looked away, and Xeno stepped away from the spot.
"You know now that you are part vampire, and you have accessed that part of yourself before. Have you not?"
"Yes, I have. When I was first transformed, and when I fought the hordes of the Cardinal upon Trisul's last night."
Aryna nodded as she cast off her cloak.
"You must learn to harness that power. You are free t
Expulsion - Chapter 5Chapter 5
Xeno woke on his side. A quick glance around told him he was inside a cavern. A slight, gentle light was emanating from somewhere behind him. As he began to roll over he realized he was not lieing directly on the floor. A soft mat was under him, and a blanket had been drawn over him. To his side he saw his brown jacket and harness set next to him, along with his beret and boots. He pulled back the blanket quickly and breathed a sigh of relief. He was still fully clothed. Something stirred. He looked over to where the light was coming from. Aryna, the woman from the ledge, was lieing in similar fashion about twenty feet away. Her boots, cloak, and jerkin were also set next to her, like his. Next to her mat, a small latern with a crystal in it glowed softly, spreading cream colored light across the small cavern.
Xeno's eyes were distracted for a second as he spied the long back ribbon that seemed to coil and roll along her blanketed form, and then realized it was her
